Welcome to John R. Neill's Online Gallery
Greetings! I am one of John Neill’s granddaughters, Jory Neill Mason. My siblings and I recently divided our mother’s inheritance (Annrea Neill). Many fans have been asking me to update the old website, so what is shown now is what I currently have available. In this new offering, you will see many previously unpublished works, including many sketches offered at very reasonable prices. There are more works of art than I have wall space, so instead of storing them in my attic for another sixty years, I have decided to make them available to collectors to enjoy. You will see beautiful sketches, finished pen and inks, and full color illustrations by my grandfather.
John Rea Neill illustrated thirty-nine of the forty “canonical” Oz books and Oz remains the best-remembered part of his work. This includes the four editions he also wrote, The Wonder City of Oz, The Scalawagons of Oz, Lucky Bucky in Oz, and The Run Away of Oz. Yet some of his best work was done for other books, periodicals, and newspapers. You will find some rare pieces that have never been seen by the public.
If you are interested in a work of art, please email me, Jory, directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope you enjoy your visit.
